Gdy pojawił się w domu Zenit E – mogłem już mierzyć światło! Ale wcześniej nie obce mi były tabele naświetlań i ręczne światłomierze. Koreks, powiększalnik “Krokus”, maskownica do ustawiania kadru i ramki na zdjęciu, kuwety wypełnione wywoływaczem, przerywaczem i utrwalaczem… Ile to człek musiał się nachodzić aby kupić (częściej zdobyć) tiosiarczan sodu… dobrze, że kolega pomagał w pracowni RTG. Próby z większym obrazkiem pojawiły się, gdy udało się za niewielkie pieniądze kupić Lubitiela 166. Fotografowałem nim Wyścig Pokoju… Potem były różne radzieckie wynalazki z Zenitem 12 XP na końcu. Kiedy pojawiła się w moich rękach upragniona Minolta Maxxum 300 si byłem bardzo szczęśliwy.

Developing tank, “Krokus” enlarger, frame and frame mask, trays filled with developer, interrupter and fixer… How much did the man have to go through to buy (more often) sodium thiosulphate… it’s good that a colleague was helping out in the X-ray lab. Attempts with a bigger picture appeared when I managed to buy Lubitiel 166 for little money. I photographed the Peace Race with it… Then there were various Soviet inventions with a Zenith 12 XP at the end. When the coveted Minolta Maxxum 300 si appeared in my hands I was very happy.
Potem nieśmiało zaczęła pukać do drzwi fotografia cyfrowa. Długo się jej opierałem… do czasu, aż kupiłem swój pierwszy cyfrowy aparat. Jedyny Canon, którego kiedykolwiek miałem – Canon G5… Na wymarzoną lustrzankę musiałem jeszcze sporo czasu poczekać. Pentax’a – najpierw K100D i później K100DS a na końcu K5 kupiłem wiele lat po G5.
Then digital photography started knocking on the door shyly. I resisted her for a long time… until I bought my first digital camera. The only Canon I’ve ever had – Canon G5… I had to wait a long time for my dream SLR camera. The Pentax – first the K100D and then the K100DS and at the end of the K5 – I bought many years after the G5.
Dzisiaj moim podstawowym i ulubionym sprzętem jest bezlusterkowy system Fuji choć czasami jeszcze sięgam po równie ulubionego i ciężkiego Pentaxa K5… Jednak rzadko, bo fotografowanie aparatami bezlusterkowymi z wymienną optyką jest dużo przyjemniejsze.
Today my basic and favorite equipment is the mirrorless Fuji system, although sometimes I still use my favorite and heavy Pentax K5… But rarely, because shooting with mirrorless cameras with interchangeable optics is much more enjoyable.
